Refund and Returns Policy

This Refund and Returns Policy explains our policies regarding refunds, cancellations, and returns for HireSmart subscriptions and AI coin purchases.

1. Subscription Refunds

1.1 No Partial Month Refunds

Subscription fees are non-refundable. When you cancel a subscription, access continues until the end of your current billing period, but no refund is provided for unused time within that period.

1.2 Subscription Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription anytime from Settings > Account > Cancel Subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle. No automatic renewals will occur after cancellation.

1.3 7-Day New Subscriber Refund

First-time subscribers only: If you are dissatisfied within 7 days of your initial subscription payment, contact support@hiresmart.pro for a full refund. This applies to your first subscription only and requires account closure.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • First-time HireSmart subscriber
  • Request made within 7 days of initial payment
  • Minimal platform usage (no abuse detected)
  • Account will be closed upon refund

1.4 Plan Upgrades and Downgrades

  • Upgrades: Take effect immediately with prorated billing. You pay the difference for the remaining billing period.
  • Downgrades: Take effect at next billing cycle. No refund for current period pricing difference.

2. AI Coins Refunds

2.1 No Refunds on AI Coins

AI coin purchases are final and non-refundable. Coins are digital currency delivered instantly upon payment and are considered used upon crediting to your account.

2.2 Payment Errors

If you experience a payment error where charges occurred but coins were not credited, contact support@hiresmart.pro immediately with transaction details. We'll investigate and credit missing coins or refund as appropriate.

2.3 Accidental Purchases

Accidental coin purchases may be refunded at our discretion if requested within 24 hours and coins remain unused. Contact support immediately with proof of accidental purchase.

2.4 Subscription Coin Allocations

Monthly AI coin allocations included with subscriptions are not refundable. Unused coins do not roll over to the next billing period. Purchased coins never expire.

3. Refund Process and Timeline

3.1 How to Request a Refund

Email support@hiresmart.pro with:

  • Subject: "Refund Request"
  • Account email address
  • Transaction ID or invoice number
  • Reason for refund request
  • Date of purchase

3.2 Processing Time

  • Review: 1-3 business days
  • Approval Notification: Within 24 hours of review completion
  • Refund Processing: 5-10 business days to original payment method

Note: Bank processing times vary. Contact your financial institution for specific timelines.

3.3 Refund Methods

Refunds are issued to the original payment method used for purchase (credit card, PayPal, etc.). We cannot refund to alternate payment methods or accounts.

4. Special Circumstances

4.1 Technical Issues

If you experience significant technical issues preventing platform use for more than 72 consecutive hours, contact support for potential credit or refund consideration. Document issues with screenshots and error messages.

4.2 Duplicate Charges

If you're charged multiple times for the same transaction, contact support@hiresmart.pro immediately. Duplicate charges will be refunded in full after verification.

4.3 Billing Errors

If you identify billing discrepancies (incorrect amount charged, wrong plan billed), report within 30 days for investigation and correction. Documentation required.

4.4 Account Termination by HireSmart

If your account is terminated for Terms of Service violations, no refunds will be issued. If we discontinue HireSmart service permanently, prorated refunds for remaining subscription period may be provided.

5. Chargeback Policy

Chargebacks should be a last resort. Contact us first to resolve billing disputes. Filing a chargeback without attempting resolution may result in:

  • Immediate account suspension
  • Permanent account termination
  • Loss of all account data and purchased coins
  • Potential legal action for fraudulent chargebacks

If you file a chargeback and win, your account will be permanently closed. We actively dispute fraudulent chargebacks with documentation.

6. Non-Monetary Resolutions

In lieu of refunds, we may offer alternative resolutions:

  • Account Credits: Additional AI coins or subscription extensions
  • Plan Adjustments: Temporary plan upgrades or feature access
  • Extended Support: Priority assistance to resolve issues
  • Goodwill Gestures: Compensation for inconvenience at our discretion

7. Exceptions and Legal Rights

This policy does not affect your statutory legal rights. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have additional consumer protection rights including:

  • EU/EEA: 14-day withdrawal right for digital services (waived upon immediate service delivery)
  • California (USA): Consumer protection under California Consumer Privacy Act
  • GDPR Rights: Data portability and deletion rights (separate from refunds)

Nothing in this policy limits rights granted by applicable consumer protection laws.
